It has been some time since we actually share about our production process in detail. We have many customers that have been asking us for our own in house label, truth is, when we first started SUP CLOTHING brand and store, we set out to only cater to our customers our in house brand only.

Haji Lane used to be an area where local designers and designs prefer to be in, times has changed and this area became flooded with TONS of Blogshops. In a way, this area is commercialized now and on weekends this area can be quite packed just like the usual Orchard Road. Good or bad, you decide, we are not getting into that.

To cater to the demand of our consumers, we started having more brands, and for our in house label, we actually stopped for a year. Now we are back on a more consistent level.

Last weekend, i was in Bandung, Indonesia to oversee our production and approved the samples for Spring 2012 as well as Summer 2012.

Meet the man behind all our production schedule: MAHA. We are glad to have him to oversee all our production from fabrics to printing to processes to production to delivery. I have been to Bandung, Indonesia as many as 6 times a year and most of the factories cannot deliver what we want and their production schedule can take as long as 6 months.

There are many up and coming brands in Singapore, personally i feel many of them do not stick to their core concept when they initially started out. Starting a brand is not difficult and not as easy as it seems. We do get comments from consumers commenting on designing a tee shirt is so easy, truth is, as a designer, not all of your designs become a product, and most of the time even if you have a product, you will need an outlet to sell and you will need to learn how to market them out.
