Today marks the last day of our stay in Melbourne….

On our way to Acclaim Mag office.

Looking back at our melbourne trip, we are really glad to have met really nice people. Special thanks to Andrew, PJ, Alex of (Acclaim Mag), Jeremy (Zirca), and everyone who presented at “Buffet” and all the speakers at the forum, Jeff Staple, Frank Liew, Hans DC. This event allow us to learn everything that we could not have learnt in Singapore.

The boys from Deep Surface did up a video for the whole event in Melbourne, check them out!

Got a text from Frank Liew (QUBIC STORE) that he left something at the hotel for me, its a mix by Kojiro (Fragment Design). Thanks alot mate!

Met Hans DC for lunch, the wraps were really good!

Him, with his Starfuckers full chrome bike, really sick bro……, thanks for showing us Melbourne.

Aaron still in hibernating mode…!

Final day of “BUFFET” makes it even more exciting for us. I get to speak in the forum alongside, Frank Liew(QUBIC), Caine Cherubin (HEIST), Kim (Fat). All in all, i feel that the discussion forum is really something new, i learnt so much from the rest of the speakers, as well as the audience who gets to post some questions to any of the speakers.

We are really glad to get to meet the boys from Deep Surface, here’s Will and Nigel.

Rookie of the year and of course my man, Bishop, you guys been really kind to us, making us feel at home.

Meet Jeff (Staple Design). The fact that you drop by our booth and your willingness to share your experience meant alot to a young brand like us. Thank you!

Keep your eyes on Mont LaRoc, a melbourne based clothing brand. These guys are really down to earth and just want to do their own thing. Keep in touch guys!

These guys from SECOND FAMILY DISTRIBUTION are like our 2nd family in Melbourne, really appreciate how they make us feel at ease and for taking care of us.

Day 2 of “Buffet” Tradeshow in melbourne started a little bit slower where most of us were in “hangover” mode. But Day 2 was probably the most busiest day of the tradeshow for our brand, where alot more people are coming in, generating plenty of interest from distributors and buyers.

Check out his mesh hat from TRUE TO LIFE with Sydney’s city skyline printed on the mesh part of the hat.

More booths…..

Frank Liew (Qubic Store) was in town as well to speak in the forum for “Buffet”. Good to meet you in person, and the AMK AH BENG that you still have it in you, makes it even more fun!

Heading out to meet our friends before going a party at a joint named “Flavela”

Aaron doing his thing, usually when there is alcohol involved.

It feels really great to be in melbourne, and this tradeshow is really a good thing for many of the brands in Australia. People are getting to know and interact more with each other, that it makes this whole event feels like a community for asia pacific in my opinion.

Believe me, we ordered more than a 100 glasses of beers, really crazy.

My man Nigel from Deep Surface, showing appreciation to Laced, who really gave them a head start to their brand.

Thats Vinny from Melbourne, thank you for taking us around, we really appreciate it.

Our boys Ben and John doing what they do best!

The crew from ONES clothing

Aaron posing for the camera….

Jackson as well!

Chilling just outside of the actual factory of where “Buffet” is being held, with our man Andrew all the way from Portland.

Day One for this event was good where we get tons of people coming in for this event. It was really great to be able to meet them and show them what we have. Next, we were off to the city for get a feel of what its like in melbourne, shopping, eating etc…

After the tradeshow, there was an official launch party with DJ MAFIA on the decks. She really can make the crowd go crazy, and despite the weather being a bitch, i guess it sort of warm everybody up for this whole event in melbourne.

Here’s Nick of FRESHIN based in Sydney and Andrew from Acclaim Mag, Thank you guys for taking care of us.

Just below the venue was another event held in conjunction with the official Buffet launch party was the opening of the “LTRHDS” show here in Melbourne. Curated by Nice Produce’s Alex Mitchell and James Reka, the show features original works from 26 local and international artists from different disciplines, each of them being assigned a letter of the English alphabet. The crowd as really good, and i believe they sold most or all of the artworks on display.

Of course there was another after party with the boys from Deep Surface, a Sydney based brand, at Revolver. It was really a crazy night, thank you guys!

Thanks to Andrew Montell(Acclaim magazine) and Vinny for picking us straight from Malbourne Airport. We were so stoked to meet Mr Jeff Staple in person that we did not take any photos of him, nice meeting you sir.

Then we head off to the venue for “Buffet” to set up our booth, really ghetto, but we really like the idea of having it in a run-down factory.

Meet Andrew, making sure everything run smoothly for his event tomorrow. We are really happy to be able to present our brand in Australia, thank you!

My boys busy with the set up of our booth…..

Smoking break

The Forum, where i will be speaking alongside all other prominent figures in our industry, check full line up here

Our booth! Holla if you are in town for this event.

Next we decided to head out to city to check it out, this photo pretty much sums up everything, perfect weather!

Fixie bike, they even had a bike lane for cyclist, time for Singapore to have one.

Union La in Melbourne?

Met up with charlyn where she was kind enough to bring us around to shop and eat.

More on Melbourne soon, check this space….!

This week i had the chance to visit one of the world’s most famous shoe customiser office. Meet Mark Ong (AKA SBTG), the one that puts Singapore on the map. The way he goes about handling his business is truly inspirational for a young brand like us.

His office/workshop where customise shoes are churn out for individual international buyers or even corporate buyers.

One of his intern Jason showing his desk/work space, clearly making use of whatever resources they had.

“Buffet” Tradeshow

Buffet” is a tradeshow by Andrew Montell of Acclaim Mag. We were invited to present our brand in Melbourne. The whole idea of this trade show that is the first for Asia Pacific is really something that i feel that people should start looking out for.

I will also be speaking at the Forum, do holla at our booth if you happen to be in Melbourne!
